Six years had passed since shuttering her south Austin eatery in the face of insurmountable operational growing pains, but Sharon Mays’ dreams of a healthy fast food revolution remained verdant.
Determined to once again make her wholesome salads and wraps an accessible and convenient option for her community, a reinvigorated Mays cultivated a team to revive the dormant Baby Greens, this time with a potential to propagate into a flourishing franchise. Mays turned to Drew Lakin to collaborate on creative strategy and to elevate the brand to one that could grow to quickly compete with the best in Austin’s local mini-chain fast food market.
Baby Greens’ new home itself, a former car dealership that would soon be transformed, planted the seed from which we sowed the new brand identity. With planned drive-through and walk-up access much like that of historic custard stands of the midwest, we were inspired to reimagine the once classic community staple into a modern healthy haven.
